Blackstone bags Woolf and ex-Lawyer deputy ed

Lord Woolf, the retiring Lord Chief Justice, has joined Blackstone Chambers as a non-resident mediator and arbitrator. He retired from his five-year tenure on 30 September and became a Blackstone tenant immediately after. He joins Blackstone's existing mediators Presiley Baxendale QC, Sir David Edward QC, Robert Englehart QC and Charles Flint QC. In another innovative move for the bar, Blackstone has recruited the former deputy editor of The Lawyer Matheu Swallow as its new marketing and communications director.
