The Birmingham College of Law has raided a host of legal institutions to appoint five senior lecturers.
Pamela Davie, a partner at Herbert Wilkes, joins from the Nottingham Law School, where she was the course leader in advanced litigation LLM.
Stuart Bladon and Catherine Bassatt of Andersen Legal join from the University of Central England. They were director of the legal practice course and head of business and commercial law respectively.
Peter Hibbert, professor of legal practice, and Jasminder Schofield, LPC head of corporate finance and head of pensions law, both join from De Montfort University. Hibbert is a co-founder of Central Law Training. Their appointments give the college 15 lecturers.
Branch director John James, who was chief executive at Birmingham Forward, says the appointments are part of the college's plans to become the market leader when it opens in September. "This is a first-class team covering a wide range of specialisms," he says.
