Former Dewey & LeBoeuf London corporate partner Stephen Walters has joined Bird & Bird’s Paris office.
Walters, who used to split his time at Dewey between the City and Paris, focuses on M&A, especially in energy, financial services and life sciences.
He was one of the troubled US firm’s most respected Paris partners as a key link between the French office and the City base, but had been spending more time in London in recent times (16 April 2012). His profile on the Dewey website was removed several days ago.
It follows the departure of two Bird & Bird Paris partners in IP and tax to Salans late last year (1 September 2011).
Bird & Bird France head Frédérique Dupuis-Toubol said in a statement: “His practice expertise and experience in our key sectors make him a great fit for our office and the international firm.”
