He is a seasoned practitioner in all aspects of private client work, including wills and tax planning, residential conveyancing and trusts. His arrival at Birchams takes the combined private client and charities department to a total of 70 staff, 10 of whom are partners. The firm's executive committee chairman Nicholas Brown said: "We're delighted to welcome Alan Meyer to the firm. He will play an important role in our growing private client and charities teams. Alan has been associated with our firm as a friend for some time. We thought it was a good idea for him to come and join us." Meyer has acted for cricketing institution the Marylebone Cricket Club for almost 25 years. He has also advised on the formation of a number of charities and his client portfolio will accompany him to Birchams.
