Bin end bargain

Like Tulkinghorn, most people in the legal profession would agree that undertaking any kind of transaction while under the influence of alcohol could end up a bit of a headache.

Not so for DLA Piper competition head Mike Pullen who, while slightly well oiled, purchased - for £2,700 - a Picasso from the Cubist's Turkish collection.

Pullen, while suffering a slight hangover, mainly in the wallet, told one Tulkinghorn scribe: "Well, itsh a great picschture and itsh really worthh £4,000. Ssso an absholute sshnip."

If you want to go shopping while having a night on the town then take Pullen's beer goggles. Clearly they can spot a bargain.
