Bevan Ashford has bolstered its South West commercial property team by hiring the head of legal from Bath-based motor industry consultancy Mitac.
Peter Fox joins Bevan Ashford's Taunton office as commercial property partner after three years at Mitac, which operates exclusively in the motor industry. Fox was a company director and provided general commercial advice. He instructed Bevan Ashford for litigation work and brings Mitac with him as a general commercial client. Mitac was bought by automotive business solutions specialist Polk in November.
Fox says: "The opportunity to join Bevan Ashford was too good to miss. I'm very excited about the prospect of working with this leading regional practice, which is clearly going places."
Fox was previously senior partner at Taunton-based firm Fox & Company, which merged with Battens in 1995. His latest move brings Bevan Ashford's South West property team up to 19 partners.
