Beachcroft Wansbroughs' senior partner has been overtaken in the honours pecking order. The Right Honourable Lord Hunt of Wirral MBE, aka Lord of the Scousers, has been usurped by partner Lesley Webber. Webber was a beneficiary of the recent round of Jubilee honours, being made an OBE for services to the property industry. Hunt's MBE, the honour of choice for the country's dinner and lollypop ladies, has been overshadowed by Webber's new honour. As any self-respecting social climber knows, the honours order is topped by GBE, with DBE, CBE, OBE and finally MBE following in that order. The firm has not commented on unconfirmed reports that Lord Hunt will now have to doff his cap to Webber.
