Bermans managing partner to go it alone

BERMANS managing partner Ian Short has left to start his own commercial firm.

No replacement has yet been found for him and the firm is considering either a joint managing partnership or a rotating system involving several partners.

Partner John Hall says: "We are very sorry to be losing Ian, but he felt that the time was right for a fresh challenge.

"Ian presided over a time of great change for Bermans which is now paying off with expansion in our traditional markets."

Short has not yet finalised his future plans, but says: "The new firm will be in the commercial sector in the North West and I think it will have a national impact.

"You have to be innovative these days."
