The homebuilder is poised to start work on the 16-hectare Yarm Road development in Stockton later this month.
The Watson Burton team includes head of real estate Simon Scougall, head of property Richard FreemanWallace and property partner Barney Frith.
The Newcastle-headquartered firm has advised Bellway for more than 20 years, during which time the company has grown into one of the top homebuilders in the UK, employing more than 2,000 people.
Frith said: “It’s great that our team has been able to advise one of our most significant clients on a major development that will regenerate an important part of Stockton.
“It’s also good news for the whole region that Bellway is moving forward with this building scheme.”
Watson Burton also advised the company on its Cleadon Park residential development in South Shields.
