Niche Scottish property firm Bell & Scott has elected Paul Jennings as its next managing partner with incumbent Iain MacDonald due to step down in November.
Jennings joined the firm in 1994 and has been instrumental in the expansion of the retail and leisure team, as well as the development and investment team. He has headed the firm's Glasgow office since 2006, the year the firm opened in the city.
MacDonald will remain with the firm when he hands over management duties. He said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as managing partner. Our strategic aim is to be Scotland's leading specialist commercial property law firm. Having worked closely with Paul over the years I am confident that he will lead the firm forward to greater success."
Bell & Scott has been seeking to expand its practice in recent years, opening in Glasgow via the takeover of three-partner firm Clairmonts. At that time the firm had three partners and one associate based in Glasgow, but last year moved into new premises after growing to four partners, five associates, two paralegals and two trainees.
