Belgian firm De Wolf & Partners has moved to strengthen its IP team with the hire of Capgemini’s former general counsel for Australia.
Raphael Bailly joins the firm as a partner in Brussels. He has spent the bulk of his career in-house at Capgemini, working both as general counsel for Belgium and Luxembourg before heading up the company’s Australian legal team until October last year.
Bailly brings experience in litigation and commercial law expertise, focusing on the IP and IT sectors.
Until March this year De Wolf & Partners was Osborne Clarke’s Belgian alliance partner, but chose not to join the UK firm’s European merger (29 March 2012). The firm named former DLA Piper partner Yves Tavernier as managing partner at the beginning of the year (31 January 2012).
