Reed Smith has poached Beachcroft Wansbroughs' head of property and planning litigation Lesley Webber as its first property litigation partner.
The firm currently has two associates handling property litigation and has hired Webber to launch a property litigation team. Reed Smith UK managing partner Tim Foster said: "We hired Lesley for her experience in sophisticated contentious property work as well as her high level contacts."
Webber, who was headhunted by Reed Smith after working alongside the US firm on a deal, said she has joined the firm in order to handle more transatlantic work. She will be replaced internally at Beachcrofts by partner Andrew Chesser, who has been a property partner at the firm since 1998.
