Beachcroft Wansbroughs has won a new contract for employment work for one of the largest hospital trusts in Central England
The firm has been appointed to provide legal advice on all employment issues for University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire Trust, with the exception of work forming part of the trust's PFI project. The appointment, which becomes effective immediately, was made following a three-way tender. It will last for the next two years. The Beachcrofts team will be led by partner and national head of employment Elizabeth Adams, who said she was looking forward to working with the trust. The trust is responsible for three major hospitals in Coventry and Warwickshire, which between them serve a population of over a million. The trust employs around 6,000 people. Employment is an important practice area within Beachcrofts' commercial division. The firm was reorganised into the three core divisions - commercial, litigation and its bulk claims venture Mutual Law - late last year (The Lawyer, 19 November 2001).
