Beachcroft wins mandate to handle Jubilee Insurance's motor claims

Beachcroft will inherit 14 new staff members, who will Tupe over to the firm when the deal goes live in April. Those staff are currently based in Sidcup, but the business will be run from Beachcroft’s Birmingham and Newport offices.

The firm said it was currently in consultation with staff about the move.

Senior partner Simon  Hodson said: “Our proposition is designed to manage and minimise the overall indemnity spend for Jubilee from now until the final conclusion of all liabilities of the scheme.

“We’ll be  working with Jubilee to ensure an efficient and effective transition stage and a focused resolution strategy to conclude and minimise the cost of current and  future claims.”

In May 2009 Beachcroft acquired Welsh firm Kingslegal with the aim of adopting its technology to use, where possible, across the firm’s core practices to help streamline working practices in its contentious groups.

The long-term aim is to help the firm secure more clients like Jubilee Insurance to help grow its volume business and feed work up the hierarchy.

Meanwhile, the firm is building its international presence, most recently opening an outpost in Singapore (3 January 2011).
