Beachcroft reshuffles regional management
Beachcroft has revamped its regional management line-up and expanded its management board.

Partners have elected new senior partners in the firm’s Bristol and Leeds offices and re-elected Manchester senior partner Robert Moss for a three-year term.
In Bristol insurance partner Tony Cherry replaces Michael Bothamley as senior partner. Under Bothamley’s nine-year reign the Bristol office’s turnover has grown from £9m to £34m, with the staff base growing from 270 to 500. He will return to fee-earning in the real estate practice.
Cherry said he would continue to expand the firm’s lawyer count, with hires expected in the healthcare and the commercial practices.
“The strategy is to get bigger because we have the space for further expansion,” he added.
In Leeds real estate partner Virginia Clegg, who heads the firm’s real estate group, succeeds Glenn Miller as senior partner. Miller is set to retire after two decades with the firm, 14 of which he spent heading the Leeds office.
Meanwhile, partner Ruth Winterbottom has been appointed as a sixth member of the executive board.
The changes come at the end of a strong financial year for Beachcroft in which it has made some significant investment into the firm.
This included the acquisition of Welsh firm Kingslegal (The Lawyer, 11 May), which expanded significantly its volume capability and gave it a platform from which to launch B2 from Beachcroft.
Last month the firm’s Manchester office acquired a team of 10, including two partners, from rival Halliwells (The Lawyer, 8 March).
