Beachcroft has appointed the former chair of the Healthcare Commission to spearhead a new health advisory unit at the firm.
Professor Ian Kennedy, who was chair of the commission until it was replaced by the Care Quality Commission in March, is a prominent figure in the healthcare sector, having been responsible for the body that monitored standards within the NHS.
He will be joined at the firm by Ray Tarling, who most recently was trust secretary and head of corporate affairs at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
Beachcroft’s health advisory service will offer consultation services to the firm’s existing NHS clients.
“The service will provide counsel and support on key strategic issues, assistance to trusts aspiring to foundation status, regulatory advice and an ongoing service of briefing and access to policy makers,” the firm said in a statement.
