With three offices in the region, distinct practices and industry sectors and a total of 25 specialist fee earners, we are able to offer clients top expertise and premier service standards. We are recognised and recommended by the most reputable international directories of the legal profession, such as Chambers and Partners, Legal 500 and IFLR, while BDK partners are ranked among the leading lawyers in their areas of expertise.
BDK is a member of the South East Europe Legal Group (SEE Legal), an organisation assembling leading independent law firms from 12 jurisdictions in south-east Europe, which allows us to assemble regional teams for cross-border transactions involving jurisdictions outside our direct coverage quickly.
Languages spoken at BDK include, besides everyone’s native Bosnian/Croatian/Montenegrin/Serbian, Dutch, English, French, Hebrew, Hungarian and Italian.
We do not perceive ourselves only as lawyers who need to fix an existing problem or answer a client’s specific query. We work ahead of problemsby recognising that global legislative and business trends are reflected in Serbia. Even when Serbia is behind a particular trend, we know that we need to understand the issues if we want to understand our client. BDK does not see itself as a 'local' law firm — we are lawyers who support clients in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina but also understand what happens globally. Because much national legislation in our countries is approximated in EU law, our lawyers are required to know and follow the EU acquis in the areas of relevance to their work. To that end, we have developed an internal database of EU law sources. We heavily invest in knowledge and endeavor to educate our clients through business seminars, dedicated blogs and various BDKnowledge products.
