A probate package developed by a Bath firm has now been added to the range offered by Micro Computer Services (MCS).
Nine-partner Withy King & Lee has developed a number of applications based on the MCS document processing system it installed in 1991. These cover personal injury, matrimonial and debt collection, as well as probate.
MCS was so impressed with the probate system that it has incorporated it into its product portfolio.
Withy's managing partner Mike Smith says one of the reasons the MCS system was chosen was because it could be adapted to the "way we wanted to do things".
This first happened with the conveyancing package that was modified to the department's needs once the team became familiar with it.
Smith says: "We are not giving up the law as a result."
