  • The Bar Barometer is a useful document. However, many of the analyses/bar charts feature an 'unknown' or 'no data' element which is large enough to render the rest of the data statistically inaccurate.

  • It is well known in their industry that a number of Chambers are having serious problems remaining viable with large numbers of non-contributing door tenants. It is hardly surprising Chambers don't want to admit their position in a survey as it does not look too good really - considering how much the tenants are supposed to earn..

  • Absurd that journos covering this story didn't even think to question this when they received the obviously regurgitated press release!?

  • Perhaps - but you do the legal media an injustice on the press release front: there wasn't one. The Bar Council neglected even to announce that the report was out, leaving it to the journalists to discover it.

  • Journos having to seek out stories?! PR girls the world over are twitching at the prospect.
