Ban the bulgeHaving an excellent in-house chef is all the rage these days, but at Taylor Wessing the partners have their cake but then don’t eat it.

The firm’s in-house chef Dominic George was apparently so good at his job of cooking up fantastic calorific treats that the partners forced him to stop.

The members found that their waistlines expanded in direct correlation to the tastiness of George’s desserts at the twice-monthly partners’ dinners, so they banned him from serving any more puddings at the shindigs.

Although Tulkinghorn’s waistline has also seen better days, he blames sitting in his armchair at his humungous desk all day and night, rifling through documents.
