Bakers London breaks £100m as profits jump 10 per cent

Baker & McKenzie has released provisional figures for its London office for 2005-06.

They show a 9 per cent increase in revenues and a slightly higher 10.5 per cent rise in average profit per partner.

Both increases are considerably below the market averages for the UK, which were reported by The Lawyer as a 13 per cent growth in turnover and 19 per cent with PEP.

Bakers' gross fees just broke through the £100m barrier, at £100.4m while PEP also hit a benchmark at £526,000. Net profit was up 15.5 per cent, from £26.4m to £30.5m.

Bakers will publish its audited accounts in December.
