Baker & McKenzie has hired Hildebrandt International consultant Julia Hayhoe in the newly-created role of head of client development in London.
Hayhoe will work alongside London business development and marketing director Beverly Landais and will have responsibility for planning and leading a client development strategy that will focus on key client relationships.
Hayhoe, who joins the firm on 16 June, is already familiar with Baker & McKenzie, having worked with the firm in London and internationally during her time at management consultancy Hildebrandt.
Landais said: "She brings a wealth of experience to the firm, including her knowledge of the professional services market and, particularly, our clients' business drivers. As the largest Baker & McKenzie office, London needs someone like Julia to lead our client relationship programme and client development initiatives."
Having trained as a lawyer and practised as a commercial litigator at Shoosmiths, Hayhoe has spent 16 years working in the legal sector. Prior to joining Hildebrandt she was a business development consultant at Clifford Chance.
At Hildebrandt Hayhoe has advised law firms, investment banks and in-house legal departments on strategic and management issues. Her main areas of expertise are client relationship development, leadership and organisational development and strategy.
