Baker & McKenzie has hired former British Aerospace counsel Chris Pierce-Cooke as its global chief operating officer (COO), to be based in Chicago.
Pierce-Cooke, who began his career with CMS Cameron McKenna in London, has spent the past seven years as worldwide managing director of organisational consulting services at Philadelphia-based consulting group Right Management.
His career also includes a spell as counsel at British Aerospace, after which he ran the company's Asia-Pacific operations in Australia.
He will report to Bakers chairman John Conroy and help him develop the firm's management agenda.
