The London office of Baker Botts has poached commercial finance partner John White from fellow US firm Pillsbury Winthrop
White has been a partner at Pillsbury since 1999, prior to which he spent five years as an associate at Linklaters. The hire reinforces Baker Botts' focus on developing further its finance practice in London. White has particular expertise in project finance and asset and acquisition finance. Partner-in-charge of Baker Botts' London office Tony Higginson said White would be a significant member of Baker Botts' firmwide project finance team. "John will play an important role in meeting the growing corporate and acquisition finance demands of Liberty Media and other London clients," he added.
