Houston-based firm Baker Botts has ramped up its London presence, flying in the firm’s former deputy head of its Houston trial team.
Mike Lennon, a specialist oil and gas and energy litigator, joined the London office this month in response to client demand for a senior US litigation and arbitration energy specialist.
Baker Botts London partner in charge Tony Higginson said Lennon’s move reflected the firm’s focus on international disputes, explaining that it was the “right time to supplement our resources at the partner level”.
Lennon will also support the firm’s fledgling Dubai office which was launched last April in to focus on the energy sector.
Lennon focuses primarily on production and operating agreement disputes, project disputes, joint venture disputes and construction matters.
He also has experience in IP, including patent and trademark infringement, trade secret, and false advertising cases. Lennon’s clients include Samsung Electronics, Dell Computer Corporation and Ford Motor Company.
His move bolsters Baker Botts London outpost to seven partners, supported by 15 associates.
