Baker Botts advises Liberty Global on new stake in Telenet

Baker Botts advised broadband cable company Liberty Global on increasing its stake in Belgium's largest broadband cable operator Telenet Group Holding to 20 per cent through an IPO worth €160m (£109.5m). The purchase reinforces Liberty Global's reputation as having the world's largest broadband cable subscriber base outside the US, with around 23.5 million homes serviced. Baker Botts corporate partner Paul Landen led the deal, which will see Liberty Global purchase 7.7 million shares through the IPO.
