BAE Systems has scrapped the role of assistant general counsel after incumbent Andrew Gallagher was promoted to director of corporate development.
General counsel Philip Bramwell said he intended to take the layers out of the legal team and move to a flatter structure. BAE has also appointed its first chief legal counsel for India, sending land systems legal chief Mike Elston to Delhi for the role.
Bramwell said he was still interviewing internally for Elston’s UK replacement.
