Owen Highley joins specialist aviation firm after 14 years at BA
Beaumont and Son has strengthened its aviation team with the recruitment of Owen Highley from British Airways’ inhouse legal team.
Highley, who joins as a consultant, spent 14 years at BA before retiring and has also been involved with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Association of European Airlines (AEA).
Highley said that the practice was expanding due to an increase in regulation. “Two major developments, which we expect to see in 2003, are the introduction of the Montreal Convention and the new EU Denied Boarding Regulation. These will produce significant compliance challenges for all carriers,” he said.
