Axa has reshaped its in-house department following the departure of group general counsel Noleen John to Norton Rose.

Edward Davis, who had been co-head of Axa UK's legal department with John, has been appointed as group general counsel. Emily Coupland, who was a senior member of the legal department, has been promoted to the role of Davis's deputy and general counsel of Axa's life business, Axa Sun Life.
