Axa Investment Managers has yet to find a replacement for its head of legal services, who has left for Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP)
Kenneth Greig joins SWIP as director of technical services with responsibility for building and managing a legal and technical services team for SWIP's investment management, product development, corporate and strategic matters. Greig comes with a track record for building in-house teams. He spent the past three years at Axa, most recently as head of legal services, acting as general counsel to the Axa Investment Managers Group. He was responsible for recruiting and managing a team of lawyers to provide legal advice and execution on asset management and general commercial matters. The group has four permanent lawyers, a secondee from Norton Rose and a paralegal, and is in the process of looking for a replacement for Greig, who left in January. Greig was formerly executive director responsible for law and compliance at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Investment Management. He has also worked for Bankers Trust Company/Bankers Trust International, where he was vice president, and Templeton Investment Management, where he was legal director and company secretary. At SWIP, Greig will report to chief operating officer Susan Ebenston.
