Australian firm Blake Dawson has opened an office in Singapore as part of its expansion into South East Asia.
Blake Dawson managing partner John Carrington said that the Singapore office would concentrate on providing advice in specialist areas to Australian and international companies wishing to grow their Asian operations. The firm's main focus in the country will be the hotel, tourism and gaming sectors.
This is Blake Dawson's third office outside Australia, where the firm operates from five locations. It also has offices in Shanghai and Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea, as well as an associated office in Jakarta.
The office will open in January 2009 and will be headed by hotel and property partner Rhonda Hare. She will be joined by associates Rhiannon Barnard and Ari Fox.
