What was unique about the structuring or nature of the deal?
I wouldn’t say the structuring or nature of this deal were unique, but it was a high-profile retail name and the sales were completed in a very short timescale.
Which other deals have you taken the lead on?
The most recent high-profile deal I led was acting for Deloitte as administrators of Chez Gerard in the disposal of its flagship restaurants to Brasserie Blanc.
What was the first deal you worked on as trainee or lawyer?
Probably a PFI deal for a Scottish sewage plant. I’m glad to say that the subject matter has improved since then.
