Offshore insurance group Aspen Insurance Holdings has created the new role of associate group general counsel, promoting Patricia Roufca to the position. London-based Roufca will report to group general counsel David Curtin, who said: "This promotion recognises the tremendous contributions Patricia has made since she joined Aspen two years ago." Roufca joined Aspen in 2005 fromLeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae. Aspen was a client of Roufca's while at the firm and she advised on the company's listing on the New York Stock Exchange in 2003. In the new role, Roufca will be responsible for Aspen's corporate governance and compliance, as well as for overseeing transactions. Aspen has six lawyers based in offices in the UK, US and Bermuda.
