Ashurst partner Michael Madden has joined US firm Winston & Strawn as head of its commercial litigation practice in London.
Madden is one of three litigation partners to leave the City firm this week, with Wilson Thorburn joining JPMorgan and Arundel McDougall retiring (12 October 2011).
Until his departure from Ashurst, Madden was head of the firm’s litigation practice. He has been replaced in that role by Ed Sparrow.
In a statement, Madden said: “I’m pleased to be joining the Winston London office at a time of growth and welcome the exciting new challenge of developing not only a London-based disputes resolution team but a truly global offering.”
