Ashurst has boosted its Munich office by hiring a new partner. M&A specialist Lutz Englisch will join the firm from Siemens in Germany, where he headed its in-house legal corporate M&A team, having joined in 1991.
Ashurst Germany managing partner Simon Beddow said: "Lutz Englisch is widely recognised as a leading figure in the German corporate market. His position at Siemens has equipped him with invaluable experience of working on international deals with cross-border legal teams."
Englisch's appointment coincides with the promotion of two associates in Germany: corporate specialist Dietmar Schulz and real estate specialist Liane Muschter, who are based in Munich and Frankfurt respectively, will both become partners, effective from 1 May.
