Ashurst has boosted its dispute resolution practice with the hire of UBS litigation head David Capps.
Capps, who joined UBS in 2004 and headed litigation and regulatory investigations for Africa, Europe and the Middle East, will join Ashurst’s City office as a dispute resolution partner.
In a statement the litigation specialist, a former lawyer at US firmWilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr, said he was looking forward to going back to private practice after eight years in-house.
Earlier this year the firm increased its City partner count with a 16-strong promotion round (28 March 2012) despite giving partners at the top of equity a warning to keep up their game (12 March 2012).
March also saw the firm confirm its interest in the Netherlands as a potential target for a new European office (9 March 2012).
