This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Tobias Krug joins as a partner and will start at Ashurst’s Frankfurt office in October. The structured finance expert specialises hybrid capital, equity-linked instruments and securitised derivatives, according to German magazine JUVE.
At Freshfields Krug was a principal associate and joined the magic circle firm from from Deutsche Bank in London in 2003.
Simon Beddow, Ashurst German managing partner said: “We’ve had a great year in Germany. We are looking to expand our corporate and international teams and Tobias fits in very well with that strategy.”
In Frankfurt, Krug will be working alongside debt capital markets partner Andreas Zahn and equity capital markets partners Nikolaus von Jacob and Reinhared Eyring.
In April, the Frankfurt operation added Lovells corporate partner Katrin Solmecke. However its still needs to rebuild the Munich office after it lost three lawyers to Latham & Watkins, including private equity heavyweight Jörg Kirchner.
