The London office of Arnold & Porter has snatched Denton Wilde Sapte intellectual property partner Clive Thorne as part of the firm’s effort to beef up its London practice.
Thorn, a well-known IP litigator, is set to join Arnold & Porter as a partner on 1 September. He has extensive experience in the UK and Asia in a wide range of IP and technology litigation and arbitration involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, design rights and e-commerce disputes. His new role will see him handle major IP litigation in concert with existing Arnold & Porter litigators and the greater Arnold & Porter practice.
Lee Narrow, head of Arnold & Porter’s London office, said of the hire: "We continue to look for opportunities to grow the London office and to fit with our strong international practice."
The addition of Thorne will bring the total number of lawyers in the London IP litigation department to 11.
