Arnheim Tite boasts rise in fees income

Arnheim Tite & Lewis, the associate law firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, has announced a massive growth in fee income - despite losing six partners who quit to join rival accountancy firm KPMG's legal arm.

The firm has published a total fee income of £15.1m for the year ending 30 June 1999, an increase of 58 per cent on the joint income of Arnheim & Co and Tite & Lewis the year before.

The 16-partner firm now plans to increase the number of fee-earners from 102 to 130 in the next year, and will recruit more partners either laterally or from within.

The plan is to have 250 lawyers by July 2001.

Managing partner Christopher Tite says: "We started from ground zero less than three years ago and I am delighted with the progress we have made so far.

"Through our relationship with PricewaterhouseCoopers we look forward to strengthening our position and enjoying further growth."

The firm recruited 11 new lawyers from City and international firms and in-house departments two months ago, following the loss of six partners who left to form KPMG's legal arm KLegal in May.

Due to a typographical error in The Lawyer 100 tables it was stated that top equity partners at Bristows received £117,000, when the figure was £217,000.
