Arendt & Medernach is full-service law firm headquartered in Luxembourg. Formed in 1988 by the merger of legacy outfits Arendt & Harles and Mersch & Medernach, the firm focuses on the core areas of financial services, corporate, tax, intellectual property, investment management and litigation.

Arendt & Medernach is the largest firm in Luxembourg, with 290 legal professionals advising a range of clients including local banks, financial professionals, investment funds and corporates conducting cross-border transactions.

In October 2012, the firm announced the opening of a new representative office in Moscow to be headed up by banking and financial services partner Max Kremer. Arendt & Medernach already has offices in Brussels, New York, London, Dubai and Hong Kong.

In November 2012, the firm added to its corporate capabilities with the hire of a partner from Linklaters’ Luxembourg office, Laurent Schummer, a specialist in corporate law, particularly upstream and downstream private equity transactions. His clients have included Apollo, Apax and CVC.
