Appleby brings Serle Court silk on board in Cayman

Serle Court silk Peter McMaster QC is joining offshore firm Appleby as a partner in the Cayman Islands.
McMaster will become a member of Appleby’s litigation and insolvency group, led in Cayman by Jeremy Walton.
McMaster was called to the bar in 1981 and was appointed a QC in 2008. He has acted on disputes concerning financial services, energy, shipping and trusts.
Offshore firms have often turned to the bar for lateral hires. Most recently Harneys picked up XXIV Old Buildings junior David Herbert as its new Cayman litigation and insolvency head (31 October 2011).
