Allen & Overy (A&O) senior partner David Morley is to transfer to the firm’s New York office for a three-month secondment. He will relocate to New York full-time on 1 October and stay until the end of the year.
The aim is for the partnership to demonstrate a commitment to the US market, where A&O hopes to grow significantly. Managing partner Wim Dejonghe has now relocated to London from Belgium and is to spend around half of his time in other overseas offices.
He has just completed a two-month whistlestop tour of most of the firm’s 29 offices following his inauguration as managing partner on 30 April.
