A&O’s Morley set for three-month NY stay

Allen & Overy (A&O) senior partner David Morley is to transfer to the firm’s New York office for a three-month secondment. He will relocate to New York full-time on 1 October and stay until the end of the year.

The aim is for the partnership to demonstrate a commitment to the US market, where A&O hopes to grow ­significantly. Managing partner Wim Dejonghe has now ­relocated to London from Belgium and is to spend around half of his time in other overseas offices.

He has just completed a two-month whistlestop tour of most of the firm’s 29 offices ­following his inauguration as managing partner on 30 April.
