Allen & Overy (A&O) is to undertake its first major property outsourcing for Land Securities Trillium, after insurance giant Aviva opted for the group over Linklaters’ client Mapeley.
Land Securities Trillium saw off stiff competition from Mapeley to win the first stage of a £700m deal. Aviva hopes to have a contract signed by the end of April. Trillium will also have the option to bid for the second and third tranches of the deal.
A&O, led by real estate partner Daniel McKimm, got the call to advise on Trillium’s bid in November last year after being added to the top tier of the outsourcing giant’s panel at the end of 2002.
