Allen & Overy (A&O) has further bolstered its New York presence with the hire of banking specialist Elizabeth Leckie from O’Melveny & Myers.
Leckie's hire comes as A&O looks to develop its New York banking and finacne capability, and follows the appointments of structured finance partners Howard Goldwasser and Lawton Camp from the New York office of Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe last month.
The series of hires have broken a lateral hire drought within A&O’s New York office, which has seen little growth in the past two years.
Leckie’s joins the New York banking group, focusing on all phases of credit transactions, from lending through loan restructuring transactions. Her hire bolsters the local banking team to about 40 lawyers.
She had been a partner at O’Melveny since 1998. Her experience includes advising on syndicated secured and unsecured lending, acquisition finance, subordinated debt and structured finance.
