Allen & Overy has snared a Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft financial regulation lawyer to bolster its New York office.
The UK-headquartered firm announced today (Thursday 19 June) that Doug Landy is to join the magic circle firm as a partner in the banking practice. Landy was previously special counsel at Cadwalader.
Allen & Overy head of US banking, David Slade, said: “Doug will help us build a practice that combines deep domestic regulatory expertise in various jurisdictions. Allen & Overy’s banking practice continues to expand, requiring highly skilled senior lawyers.”
Landy resigned from his post at Cadwalader in New York on Monday (16 June). Landy’s expertise is in regulatory and compliance, insolvency and structured finance.
