A&O has re-hired Jacek Michalski, who quit the firm as a partner for Dewey in 1998. He rejoins to co-head the Warsaw corporate practice with Jaroslaw Iwanicki.
Iwaniciki said in a statement: “Jacek is joining us at a time when our corporate practice in Warsaw is developing an increasingly high profile to match that of our banking and finance and capital markets practices.”
Michalski’s practice focuses on corporate M&A, real estate and private equity. He becomes A&O’s fourth partner in the 23-lawyer Warsaw office.
Dewey last week lost three partners in the US, including global head of energy markets and regulatory Earle O’Donnell and restructuring head Alan Gover, who, along with another energy partner Donna Attanasio, all joined White & Case.
