A&O Düsseldorf hires Shearman M&A duo

• Allen & Overy (A&O) has ramped up its M&A corporate capacity in Düsseldorf with the hire of Shearman & Sterling M&A partner Birgit Reese.

She will be joined at A&O by Shearman associate Alexander Veith, who joins as counsel.

The new arrivals will be a further boost to the Düsseldorf office after the high-profile hire of M&A partner Rolf Koerfer in February, also from Shearman.

A&O's Düsseldorf office opened in 2007 with a strong focus on corporate work.
