A&O boasts turnover rise

Allen & Overy (A&O) has scored a record year, with turnover increasing by 51 per cent to reach £494m for the year 2001-2002.

However, the firm's profits per partner have risen by only 10 per cent and equity partners will take home an average of £762,000.
All A&O staff will walk away with a bonus equivalent to 17 per cent of their salary.
The percentage increase in turnover falls just below rival Clifford Chance, which recorded an increase of 57 per cent.
