This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Allen & Overy (A&O) has scored a record year, with turnover increasing by 51 per cent to reach £494m for the year 2001-2002.
However, the firm's profits per partner have risen by only 10 per cent and equity partners will take home an average of £762,000. All A&O staff will walk away with a bonus equivalent to 17 per cent of their salary. The percentage increase in turnover falls just below rival Clifford Chance, which recorded an increase of 57 per cent.
