  • Disagree. It is high time some of these Churches were sued for fraudulently extracting money and wasting time with false promises.

But I have heard this all before... I was in Wandsworth County Court earlier this month and overheard a gentleman asking the court office worker whether he could bring a claim against his local church for making him lose his job and girlfriend and for generally ruining his life. He felt he had been brainwashed and suffered psychiatric harm and felt the church should "pay" for what it had done.
Well the psychiatric illness part was quite clearly true...
As annoying as it is, the court has a duty to give them air time which we should welcome. But only 5 minutes of air time please,

  • Jonathan Edwards should withdraw this action and simply be content with having been triple jump champion.
I bet the Baptist Union of Great Britain are over the moon with this publicity.

  • I can't see what his chosen religion has to do with his inability to become a professional footballer. Admittedly there are some Christian sects that insist no work on a Sunday, but most of us a more enlightened. A day of rest every 7 is food for body and soul whatever ones beliefs.
