  • “Don’t give..... male colleagues tool kits or female workers kitchenalia.”

......unless they may have written to Santa to ask for them. And by the way some people love frilly knickers and there shouldn't be any blatant discrimination towards them.

    Be Merry for goodness sake!

It must be bleak 'up North'.....

  • As an Aston Villa fan, I was once given a Birmingham City Calendar. How much more offensive could someone be!! However, I have a life and so was able to have a laugh with my wonderful colleagues. Would have preferred a tool kit or certainly some alcohol!

  • I got some frilly knickers from my Secret Santa last year...

  • I seem to remember the same press release being issued by the firm this time last year!

  • Groan, these dismal PR exercises are as predictable and as welcome as indigestion after Christmas dinner or a gruesome hangover after the staff party.

Please spare us from any more of this garbage.

  • Seriously? This so-called Politically Correct Crap is getting beyond a joke - long live the sense of humor cos lets face it - it's the only thing gonna get us through our time in this mad world we live in!!!

  • I have a set of Dilbert post-it notes that I would like to swap for a 1l bottle of London Gin and/or a spanner - any takers?

  • It always surprises me how firms hope for good publicity out of issuing press statements that make them look politically correct misery guts.

  • Deirdre Dare - I'd offer to swop my cream covered chocolate willy for your frilly knickers but for the fact that you'd sue me for £3.5m for harassment.

  • 'Tis the season to be jolly, folks. Get off their backs and get your sense of humour back. It's more amusing than reading about Coleen and Wayne!

  • A merry non-denominational mid-Winter festival to one and all. Is this why nobody likes lawyers I wonder?

Does anyone seriously get any PR benefit or work out of issuing this stuff year after year?

  • Why on earth is The Lawyer reporting on this tosh? You should be ashamed of yourself

  • Love the irony of the comments moaning about health and safety gone mad. It'd be even better if they were from employment lawyers.

  • At least it keeps Quality Solicitors out of the news; sorry that's the Gazette!

I note much of the comment appears to be coming from Southerners; perhaps they should be buying each other books on 'How should I deal with snow so my life doesn't have to stop', just what they will need in the coming days!

  • Tosh & Piffle!!! ........ take me back to the politically incorrect 70's ....... now those were the days!!!

  • @Anon

Why worry about snow, when we've got 70% of the country's net wealth to shovel about...

    North is for wimps

  • No alcohol? Just because I am religious? I am deeply disappointed.

  • @Southerner
Here in Germany we've got most of the net wealth of Europe AND we can deal with snow. London is the Rochdale of Europe. Get some damn winter tyres.
